The Journey of a Career Changer

It has been a while since my last post. I have been focusing entirely on my first project because everything is connected: I needed to finish the design, complete the case study, and post it on my website so I would have a project to show. Once that was done, I could update my resume and finally start applying for jobs.

In my cover letters, I am very honest about being a career changer who is new to the UX design industry. The hardest part is that even "entry-level" jobs often ask for work experience. I know what to do and how to do it, but finding that first opportunity to show my strength is a challenge. I applied for seven jobs last month, and although I haven't heard back yet, I am staying persistent.

I also decided to add a visitor counter to my website. This way, I can see if recruiters are visiting my portfolio after reading my resume.

To whoever is reading this blog: thank you. I really mean it.
